Making Salawat is Shirk / idolatry!  Satan and his supporters lure the vast majority of Muslims to fall into his trap by their excessive love [2:165] for prophet Muhammad. Satan thus takes advantage of those well intentioned believes [9:107] into committing “Shirk / idolatry” devotion of their worships by making “Salawaat” on the prophet day and night: ‎مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُؤْتِيَهُ اللَّهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُوا عِبَادًا لِّي مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلَٰكِن كُونُوا رَبَّانِيِّينَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ الْكِتَابَ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ [3:79] “Never would a human being whom Allah has given him the Book and authority and prophethood say to the people, "Idolize me beside Allah."
